Tour of Missouri Thank You

  On behalf of the entire Kansas City community, thank you for your support of Kansas City's Stage 7 of the 2009 Tour of Missouri. A world-class field, beautiful weather, big crowds and, most importantly, your contribution helped make this year's event a huge success.

  Race organizers have told us they believe this year's Kansas City stage was the biggest crowd for any stage in the Tour's three-year history! While we won't have official economic impact and attendance figures for several weeks, here's a taste of some of the day's action: Video | Photos.

  Despite the success of this year's race across the state, 2009 marks the third and final year of the State of Missouri's contract to support the race. As you are probably aware, there is some uncertainty about what will happen in 2010. Tuesday, the Kansas City Star printed an editorial supporting the continuation of state funding for the race, "Don't Put the Brakes on Tour of Missouri Funding."

  We encourage you to contact the Missouri Governor's office and your Missouri Legislators to express your support for bringing the race back toMissouri and Kansas City in 2010. Showing your support for the race is more important now than ever.

  We hope we can count on you again in 2010. Your continued sponsorship is important. With your financial support, we can continue to grow this event and showcase health, wellness and the great sport of international cycling.

If you would like the opportunity to contribute to a world-class event taking place in your own community, now is the time.

Support the Tour!
Donations of any amount will directly support the hard costs of hosting the Tour of Missouri in Kansas City. Any funds exceeding the actual final cost of the race will be accounted for and used toward the 2010 bid. Contributions are received by the Kansas City Regional Destination Foundation and directed to the Tour of Missouri.

Donation Levels
The Tour of Missouri Kansas City offers six levels for donors to consider. The donation minimums for each level give you options to receive exclusive merchandise.
